About Helping Hands Director Thia Zakrzewski

About Thia…….
After obtaining my Human Services Degree and working for several years as an advocate for special needs individuals I left my job to have a family. When my daughter was born I opened my own licensed home care program working with a small group of preschool children. After six years I went on to obtain my Teaching Certificate through Antioch University and then spent five years as the Director/Head Teacher at Cobb Meadow School in Dublin NH. The program there was a Waldorf inspired multi-age group serving twenty children. In June 2010 I completed my seventh year at Monadnock Waldorf School teaching elementary school. After completing 18 years of teaching various ages I realized my passion is in working with the young child so in September 2010 I renewed my NH Child Care License and opened Helping Hands Eco-friendly Preschool.
